Reading last night's post makes me chuckle. Suggesting the conditions might be reasonable was bold. Too bold. We spent most of the day crashing through waves at 2 miles an hour in the driving rain. What fun. Who wants to join me? We were doing 2 miles an hour, instead of the more typical six, because we were battling twenty-five knot headwinds and the commensurate sea state. At that rate we wouldn't be making our anchorage until after midnight. So I did what any American does when challenged. I burned more fuel. That doubled our pace. After stating I would probably not return to Captains Cove, I'm here once again. Thankfully the logging operation is not. They've pulled up and moved elsewhere. No choppers, no log booms, no workers, no noise. Incredible.
